Rescheduled Professional's Day at Copthorne 2021

The last event of the season was the rescheduled Professional’s Day at Copthorne Golf Club

The field was slightly reduced as buggies were banned due to wet conditions however 30 teams competed for the prestegeous prizes.

Joint winning Professional’s were Toby Graves from East Brighton and Peter Tarver-Jones from West Hove who both shot 72.  Joint runners up were

Steve Grouwstra (Cottesmore) Darren Mustchin (East Brighton) and Sam Passmore (Cottesmore) who returned 73.

The team prize went to Cottesmore - Terry Vanhinsbergh, Mick Stacey, Martin Bolton Smith and Pro Steve Grouwstra with 134.

Runners up were the Copthorne Club Captain, Rob Grimwood and his team, Stewart Ford, Steve May and Pro, Russel Buxton with 135 just pipping Team Seaford on count back.

Thanks go to Copthorne Golf Club for getting the course in top condition following heavy rainfall at the weekend and to the management and staff for making our day go so smoothly.

Special mention to Ian Wood and Keith Hayward who acted as starters and we were delighted to see our Past President, John Mather (just 98 years young) who came along to say hello with his son Arthur.
