Keith Talbot’s Captain’s Report
As the sun sets on the longest captaincy in SGC history, I can look back over that time as “a game of two halves”. The first year, absolutely nothing happened: second year, a virtually whole diary in 4 months!
2021 turned out to be full of wonderful memories, wonderful golf (played by others!), high mileage and new friendships both within the SGC and with our fellow County Captains.
A personal highlight was my Captain’s day, which, despite suffering a change of date, was very well supported. Special thanks to everyone at East Brighton GC for their tremendous support both before and on the day. The barbecue was a triumph but my desire for a light breeze to test the players became a veritable gale! Ah well……
