Anne Thorpe & Rod England of Sweetwoods Park

received the Trophy from Peter Ward (SGC Captain)

Captains and their lady partners were delighted that it was a beautiful Autumn day for the end-of-season Mixed Greensomes at Ham Manor.  In previous years it had been very wet underfoot but the early autumn dry spell made it very playable and very enjoyable.

The 64 pairs were eager to play the new 18th hole and to witness the improvements the club has made since we were last there.

Indeed, they were not disappointed as the course was presented in excellent  condition and the clearing of trees has given it a new look for the better.

The winners with 40 points were Rod England & his Sis Anne Thorpe of Sweetwoods Park who won on count back over Ken Penfold & Rachel Sillence of Willingdon also with 40 points.
