Terry Jasper receives The Algrey Bowl from SGC Captain, Brian Street

Recorded as the hottest day of the year (and the longest) Captain’s Day at Cowdray Park was a huge success with a golf course playing its best following the ProAm held there the previous weekend.

Captain, Brian Street had every detail covered from starters, ball spotters and some lovely ladies serving cold drinks at the halfway hut.

The local Captains featured heavily in the winners enclosure claiming the top four places all with 37 points.

1st with 22 on back 9 was Terry Jasper

2nd with 20 back 9 Harvey Terry

3rd with 19 back 9 14 back 6 Peter Hallt

4th with 19 back 9 12 back 6 Mark Jasper

5th place with 36 points was Geoff Dyckes from Ifield.

Nearest the pin on 3rd Dave Smythe - Cottesmore

9th - Roland Heath - Bognor Regis

11th Ken Wenham - Littlehampton

17th Andy Lamb - Highwoods who had a hole-in-one!

Andy very generously donated £100 to the Club Captain’s Charity The Rocking Horse Appeal Children's Hospice.
