Part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2014 was to introduce a Past Captains and Presidents’ Golf Day. The following year Gordon Clark from the Nevill (Captain of the SGC 1998) donated a wonderful trophy.
It has become customary to hold this event at the SGC Captain’s home Club therefore this year it was played at Brighton & Hove.
The winner with 33 points was ken Wenham of Littlehampton, a past Captain Pyecombe.
Second with 31 was Dave Hirons of Cowdray Park just beating the Honorary Secretary, Mark Terry on count back also with 31 points.
A superb dinner was served with thanks to chef, Mark Hillyer and the Captain, Peter Ward kindly provided Port for the 22 present.
